update *3 years later

Wow.  Cannot believe that my original vision for this event/ community was three years ago.  Sometimes things just take time.  The universe conspires at its own pace.

Just came back from a great networking event and floated the idea of the storytelling night - have to say it was well received.  Which is pretty darn exciting!

I love meeting people and sharing stories.  Definitely more to come.

a big idea

Here is where you will find out information on a new venture called big river stories.   An evening of story telling.  People in our community will share a narrative based on a theme.  There will be music and perhaps a beverage and snacks. 

The theme will be announced ahead of time.  We will invite people to submit their stories - they should be about 10 minutes long.  We will announce the line up and we will sell tickets in advance. 

Our first event will be in the spring of 2012.  Stay tuned for the theme and for more information.  If you are interested in helping out or if you know a musician who might want to offer their talent, or if you have a friend who has a good story to tell email us at bigriverstories@gmail.com.
